you are not alone

Unfortunately, my story is like millions of different people's all over the world. It's a difficult one to tell, but it's also difficult to hear. I tell it today in hopes that it helps someone, even just one person, even just a tiny bit, who is going through the same, similar, or god forbid, even worse. I want you to know you are not alone, you DO deserve better, and there IS love and a future after domestic abuse. I can certainly attest to that. While tragic and painful, my story has a happy ending - I have found my forever love, I'm a step mom to two beautiful girls, my work is my passion, and I'm happier than I ever thought I could be. I cannot tell you how much I wish the same for you.

 

Lastly, please share this video if you know someone that might be in an abusive situation, but please be patient and respectful too. You can't understand the "staying mindset" until you're in it for yourself, and even to this day I can't really explain it, not even to my husband.
